Indications:
Fluvir is indicated for:

• Treatment of Influenza: Reducing the duration and severity of flu symptoms in patients diagnosed with influenza.
• Prophylaxis: Preventing influenza in individuals who have been exposed to the virus, especially in high-risk populations.

Mechanism of Action:
Oseltamivir works by inhibiting the neuraminidase enzyme on the surface of the influenza virus, preventing it from spreading within the respiratory tract. This helps reduce viral replication and allows the immune system to eliminate the virus more effectively.

Dosage and Administration:

• Recommended Dose for Treatment: Take one 75mg capsule twice daily for 5 days.
• Recommended Dose for Prophylaxis: Take one 75mg capsule once daily for 10 days following exposure.
• Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and complete the treatment course.

Side Effects:
