Together, they help control blood sugar levels, especially after meals.

Indications:

• Used as part of a treatment plan for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate blood sugar control.
• May be used in patients inadequately controlled on metformin alone or those already treated with a combination of sitagliptin and metformin.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: One tablet taken twice daily with meals, or as directed by a healthcare provider.
• The dosage is individualized based on the patient’s current blood glucose levels, renal function, and response to treatment.
• Janumet should always be taken with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects associated with metformin.
