Januvia 100mg Tablets contain the active ingredient sitagliptin, a DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitor. Sitagliptin works by enhancing the levels of incretin hormones, which help regulate blood sugar by increasing insulin release, especially after meals, and reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, either alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications, to help control blood sugar levels.

Indications:

• For the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve blood sugar control when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycemic control.
• May be used as monotherapy or in combination with other diabetes medications such as metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: One 100mg tablet once daily, with or without food, or as directed by a healthcare provider.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Dosage may be adjusted depending on the patient’s kidney function, and patients with moderate to severe renal impairment may require lower doses.

Contraindications:
