Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg (Olmecip) is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It helps lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. This reduction in blood pressure helps decrease the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems.

Indications:

Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg (Olmecip) is indicated for:

• The treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults and children over 6 years
• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events like heart attacks and strokes in hypertensive patients

Dosage and Administration:

• Recommended Dose: The usual starting dose is 20mg once daily, which may be increased to 40mg if further blood pressure reduction is needed.
• The tablet should be swallowed whole with water, and can be taken with or without food.
• It is important to take this medication at the same time each day for optimal effectiveness.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Olmesartan or any of the tablet’s ingredients
